Howdy, Editor J in Korea. Do you tend to wear makeup every day? I wear light makeup before I go to work in the morning. (I always put on foundation, shadow, and lips, but I’ll call it a ‘light’ makeup since I don’t apply shading😊) If you wear makeup every day like me, how do you do it on days you have acne?
I wear makeup after putting on a patch for quick recovery. I can’t do perfect skin makeup on the days I put on the patches. Some people don’t use patches because they don’t like makeup coming off, but I think it’s more important to restore skin condition as quickly as possible. There is a big difference in the recovery depending on whether you use a patch or not!
In my case, I have dry skin, so I don’t worry about skin troubles all over my face. However, acne develops around the headline, mouth, and nose when there are hormonal changes or stress. Once the acne occurs, I get scars easily☹ and it turns painful, so I tend to take care of it quickly.
When I find acne in the morning, I put on the COSRX acne patch. (I also use Farmstay patch sometimes) so that I don’t add extra oil to the problematic area due to excessive oil secretion. I know many people don’t use patches, but I don’t want the skin trouble to get worse.
It’s simple to use. No explanation is needed, really. I tend to wash my face only with water in the morning. After washing, put the patch on before skincare, and it’s done! If you apply the patch before skincare, you can avoid stimulation and limit the oil of the troubled area, preventing it from getting worse. You need to be careful when you apply foundation so that it doesn’t get flaky, though.
If you replace the patch with a new one after washing your face in the morning and evening, you can take care of acne quickly without worrying about scarring. And this patch is good for skin troubles not only on the face but also on your body. It is not effective for all acne, though. To cure deep acne like mine, using the patch seems to soothe the trouble 2 to 4 days faster than not using it.
